Irrational Me

I'm known for being
Sarcastic, a joker,
A sometimes chain-smoker,
Eyelinered, Tattooed,
Getting wrecked and stewed,
Red curly-hair,
Or any other colour I dare.
Apparently creative,
Draw, write, play and sing.
Got myself a reputation
For getting into
Questionable situations,
Breaking all the rules;
But I was still too school
For cool.
Laughing my way through
College, uni, work too,
Always do my best
To help whoever
Needs a friend.
Alas, marginalised
As geeky, weird, emo,
Goth, punk-rocker,
Too much trouble to bother,
Issues, irrational,
But wholeheartedly so!
Politely they'd say I'm
'Spirited,' or 'strong-willed,'
(translates - belligerent girl)
But I don't compromise
On my feelings, beliefs,
Whether they cause me
Joy, fear or grief,
Because I'm afraid
That's me,
And I've learned the hard way,
To always be true
To yourself,
No matter what you do.
