Two in one day?! Now way!!! Well you get more if you check out @CuriousCat !!!
We're finally at the campsite. It was an enjoyable bus ride. Kitty and I just talked the whole way. Although when we got off the bus I did notice seeing quite a few animals. One would think thy would flee from people.
"Alright class!" Ms. Finan shouts. "From here on out your on your own, well with your partner, in a test of survival. If you can't take it anymore or get hurt, just come to this cabin. Good luck."
And with that she goes with her bright pink suitcase into the cabin. Mr. Hughes stares at us a moment longer then follows suit.
"Whoa! Kitty and Jack?! They'll have plenty of fun!" shouts someone in the class.
Then comes a barrage of chants, rhymes and wolf whistles.
"Shut up! Argh idiots!!!" Kitty shout turning bright red.
Time to go.
"Come on Kitty, let's get a head start while these idiots stay here."
And with that left hanging in the air, we waltz off.
After an hour or do of walking we stumble out into a small clearing. It's a perfect circle, five meters wide maybe. And it's right beside the river. Perfect! I drop my backpack, pull out my tent and pitch it up. It's a two man, just in case.
"Shit..." Kitty says.
"What's wrong?" I ask, turning.
"...forgot my tent..." she mumbles.
Forgot or 'forgot' I smirk.
"Well, don't want you out in the cold so, you'll have to share mine."
Kitty turn bright red for the second time today. I pick up her bag with my mind an drag it into the tent.
"You remembered your sleeping bag?" I ask jokingly.
Kitty nods in reply.
"I'll go get some fire wood," I say. "Set up the tent?"
And with that I grab some rope and head off. I walk for about then minutes then I come across a dead beach tree. I break it into logs, with help from my mind, and tie them up in a bundle. Should be enough for tonight. Jut as I start to head back I hear something whizz past my head. I turn. A squirrel is sitting on a branch throwing pine cones at me. I throw one back and it runs off. Funny creature.
We got the fire started and have food cooking and the sun has just set. All's good. Kitty's starts shivering.
"Cold?" I ask.
"Not really, I'm fine," she replies.
I give her my jacket and wrap my arms around her.
"You need to stay warm to survive."
I look down into her eyes. It's just like in the cinema. I close my eyes. We lean in.
CRACK!!!
What was that??! I open my eyes. A deer?!! We disappear. Whoa! That was cool. We wait in silence for the deer to go. It tramples our fire and food as it leaves. Aww man. I was so hungry! As if he heard my thoughts, Kitty whips out a chocolate bar. Good ol' Kitty. I look up at the sky. It's so pretty. Pretty but dark.
"Shall we call it a night?" I ask.
"Okay," Kitty replies.
We clamber into the tent. I turn my back and, as quickly as I can, pull off my clothes and pull on some pyjama bottoms. Ah! I forgot my pyjama top! Oh well, guess Kitty'll be seeing me shirtless a lot this week.
"G'night then," she says.
I turn back around.
"Night Kitty, sweet dreams."
And with that we both fall asleep.
