Never Forget The God Times

I was looking at that old photograph
The one of you and me drinking beer at the beach and in the background you could see my shorts floating away, and you kept laughing at me, cuz beer always gets the best of me.

And all those memories started flooding in, like that one time I fell in the frozen lake and you was trying to rescue me, but we both were too drunk to realize that it was too shallow for me to drown, and you kept laughing at me, cuz beer always gets the best of me

We drank a lot, and we laughed a lot more, we did things without a second thought never did we care much about tomorrow living day by day like if it was gonna be our last, oh I will never forget the good times, you was always there when I needed you and I was there to make you smile

I remember the day we took that joy ride doing 80 on a 25 and we ended up crashing your momma's truck, and you kept laughing at me, cuz beer always gets the best of me

I still remember your wedding day and how happy everybody was, and I was dancing like a hurricane and ended up crashing onto the wedding cake and you kept laughing at me, cuz beer always gets the best of me

I will never forget when your dad died and how strong you seemed to be, even though deep inside I knew you died a bit, or that embarrassing speech I gave standing by his grave and the whole time you kept laughing at me, cuz beer always gets the best of me.

And I will never forget that day when I walked into the ICU, you was laying in bed and doctors where looking at you and all you did was smile then you saw me coming in with a six pack and a bag of chips and you Bursted out laughing cuz you knew that beer always gets the best of me

And it's still fresh in my memory the day I gave you my last good bye I knew then and I still know now that we will meet again, and as they where lowering you into the ground I threw a beer in.. And I knew that you was laughing at me, cuz beer always gets the best of me
