Upon the Diamond Snowflakes of Winter
Do I peer at this time of year
The mood bades me to shout out with holiday joy
I do, but it is drowned out by the children with toys
I walk out to the porch, in TShirt and jeans
And take in for a moment the breathtaking scene
The diamonds they fall so lightly and gentle
Swaying as a baby inside its cradle
The snowflakes fall faster and cover distant meadows
It forces me to come in, but I dash to the window
And as I continue to age, from all the things I have seen
The Diamonds Snowflakes of Winter never fail to amaze me
