A Vow

I found a new friend today
To hold close to my heart

I forever looked forward to being good friends

I hoped that we would never end.

But now I know something horrible has gone wrong

My new friend has something wrong with her lung

As soon as i heard my heart was wrung

Tears came to my eyes and I sat there stunned

My heart nearly burst and the flood was released when I found out she had yet a week

So now I have vowed to make that week count. To fill her up with all the friendliness my heart can spout.
