We live and love,
We push and shove,
We look into the sky above.
We look and see,
We smile with glee,
We eat dinner with the family.
We hide and seek,
Try to look 'sheek',
Strengthen our friends when they are weak.
But that what's makes us human.
We eat and sleep,
We cry and weep,
We buy our goods when they are cheap.
We read and write,
We turn on lights,
We wish upon a star at night.
We 'peek-a-boo',
Say "I love you",
We bite off more than we can chew.
But that's what makes us human.
We sit around,
Gain a pound,
We walk and run and jump and bound.
We like and learn,
We turn and turn,
We watch our passions flare and burn.
We walk through mist,
Write boring lists,
And love and savour our first kiss.
Ordinary actions,
Strange reactions,
A beating heart and active brain,
Loving sun and loving rain,
We live to love and love to live.
That's what makes us human.
