Hopeless Miracle

Well, late one night, she started to cry,
And thought he ain’t coming home,
She was tired of the fight and the lies,
But she didn’t want to see him go.

He feared he'd lose his children and his wife,
But he always pretended to be perfectly fine.
So he drove deep into the woods and thought he'd end his life.

That needs an urgent miracle.

She was a little orphan in a devastated town,
Took what she got and survived on her own,
Her food was stale and her water brown.
In her heart, bitterness had been sown.

Lied, stole, and murdered a soul.
He's a man in a cell who regrets what he's done.
He utters a cry from the depths of his heart,
"I need a miracle."

Picked her up off the street,
And now she's all pink and curls

Well the man in the cell,
Was finally released.
He made his life well,
For his grief had ceased.

So no matter who you are; criminal or the Pope
When the time comes when you're a desperate soul.
