Poisoned Petals

The light shines bright on her face.
A scarred heart and hands
While her minds in a different place

Pain Is blown away like rough sand
As memories or past cut her skin like broken glass

A sky full of unfilled wishes flying high
Her cheek will not let a teardrop pass

The sight of a lone flower
Brings a glint to her eye
She reaches out to touch it
But as her finger brushes the velvet white,
The delicate plant it slices her skin

As poison runs all through her blood
She begins to lose all sight
Some things can't be trusted
She knew it from the start

Her body grows numb
She realises her chances are bleak

Long dark tendrils curl round her heart
The beautiful rose betrayed her

As her heart grows weak

Latrodectus

@Latrodectus

Hi, I'm Latrodectus, but you can call me Lat. I'm 14 and I love to write. I write at least 1 or 2 times a week and write everything from acrostics to opinion posts (and everything in-between) I'm also writing my first ever book/full story "The Darkworld Chronicles." I write to help find myself and who I really am and to help me deal with life's problems and stresses. I like drawing, acting, singing and gymnastics but don't like algebra, sport or swimming. My interests vary wildly (as do my works) and I feel it gives me some variety. Thanks for reading this, have fun in my world of writing :) ~Lat
