I Miss My Childhood

I miss my childhood so much.

Childhood was when I couldn't reach the table,
Then someone would pick me up.

Childhood was when I was the life of a party,
I would smile at everyone, and they all exclaimed, "What a lovely baby!"

Childhood was when I couldn't ride a bike,
But my mother would take me every where I wanted to go.

Childhood was when I cried three times a day,
But I laughed five times more.

Childhood was when I knew nothing about the world,
So everyday was a new adventure.

Childhood was when I opened my heart to the world,
And the world opened up to me.

I have grown a lot more,
I have known many things.
I used to pray for more time to play,
Now I pray for sleep.
I now acquired every skill to survive,
But now I long for the eager heart of a child.

Youth And Manhood

I miss my youth, everyday I could go out to the playground and play sand. I don't have to worry about cleanness or bacteria, I just simply play along until I am fulfilled.

The sunset shone a reddish gold. Upon two girls, just eight years old. They twirled and spun, they sang and danced. Lost within a youthful trance. A coffee table was their stage.

Oh what I'd give to go back to the days of being a kid When the worst things that came were bad dreams and skinned knees. To go back to the days of being care free.
