The Simplest Of Pleasure

The simplest of pleasure brings joy to my life
As a little girl and now as a wife
Like paddling my feet into a running stream
Where my mind drifts off to the land of daydream
Just lying down onto the naked grass
Memories like these never cease to last
Watching the clouds high in the sky
What fascinating things can I see go by?
Horse riding along a quiet country lane
My horse and me are as one...the same
Swinging up high until I lose my breath
Makes my heart pound out of my chest
Making daisy chains two metres long
Listening to natures sound of choral birdsong
The joyous of things in life are for free
Etched in my heart as a forever memory

Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.

Songs On A Swing

When I was a small child. I always used to sing. My favourite place. Was on my swing. I would sit for hours. With the sun over high. Daydream with songs. The world floated by. I would charge 10 pence.

@misslittleDHP You're welcome, I really like this!!! :) well written!!

Lovely, I am always droning on about simple pleasures, unfortunately it usually falls on deaf ears. The competition from computer games is very powerful! 😜😄

@crowncottage sooo true...I try to ensure that my kids have a healthy balance, yep they enjoy computer games but so enjoy our walks in the woods, to the park or the canal....I adore it...nothing beats it....I'm hoping my children will look back at the moments we do such things and like me will think of it fondly❤💚❤💚

I bloody love this!! Zx

@Bunts thanks my sweet...means a lot 🌹🌹🌹
