Would I sell my soul for a bit of old gold?
Mankinds' most sought after metal for all to behold
Through years back in time the rich and divine
Have murdered the masses to protect their shrine
But o how it shines it's blinding my eyes if I could just hold it all would be fine
Must stop these thoughts because I know too well
Wealth is not the answer it leads to hell
Old gold is just as tarnished as new gold has become
It's main competitor being oil by the drum.
From the ancient 'Three Kings' at Jesus's birth
Traded by countries to market it's worth
The gold plated Rolex and the saturated sheiks
To gold plated iPods for technology geeks
Morals have been blurred over the course of time
Forget thy neighbour I'm out for what's mine
The greed and the lust leaves rubble and dust
O old gold have you we must.

When
