Blanket Of White

I awake to a beautiful scene,
Unlike any other the year has seen,

Everything glowing pure white,
like it's blanketed in a candy floss of some kind.

I think to myself 'how beautiful!'
But then I'm reminded about going outside...

Such a grump I can be about snow -
Cold and wet, I want to run and hide!!!

But I put on my best smile and my wellie-boots,
Get the kids ready with their 'whoots and toots!'

And we enter the wonderland....
That's when I realise how happy I am...

You see, I'm a creature that lives in the head,
Need to remind my body it's here sometimes, crazy I know!

Don't like the IDEA of somethings...
But, once I'm in it, I REALLY DO LOVE THAT SNOW!

Snow! Better late than never ;D
