Walk with me a while...
Show me,
Let me see your innocence.
Show me your sweet nature,
Your naïveté,
Your beauty.
I never could hold such qualities,
I yearn for you to show me...
Show me...
And in one breath,
One sigh,
I change.
Your laughter,
The hair that tumbles around your face,
That innocence,
That beauty...
I want it.
I used to believe that the more I took,
The more I devoured,
The more I would become like them...
But it was not to be.
So now, as you walk with me a while,
I will play along as mortal,
Just to see you smile.
Then I will inhale your soul,
And leave your bones here,
In a pile.
For I am He who is not of this place.
Not Death.
Not Satan.
Not these words that you decree for me.
A person of unlimited guises,
You won't know you're even with me...
No sense in watching your back,
As I'm in plain sight, but you still won't see!
I will take your souls,
All of them.
I am me.
