Personification

I don't really know why I went for this angle. It just happened!

The meaning of personification
Is more easily understood
If you ask what it is to personify
An everyday piece of wood

Or maybe you'd prefer to imagine
A pet with speech perfected
Does it have a human's mind
Or animal thoughts projected?

If that isn't your cup of tea
How about the elements?
Explaining the actions of a summer breeze
Or why a raging fire relents

And what about a different side?
The personification of man
Declaring him the walking embodiment of a characteristic like charm

This is my understanding
It might be a little long
I could have missed an example or two
Or gotten it all wrong!
