Gently you took me by the hand
As though it were a sin
I could feel your pulse beating
Underneath your skin
And then you led me up the stairs
As I gripped your fingers tight
Intrepid explorers, we go
Into darkness from the light
And then we sit upon your bed
With just our palms we touch
Endorphins pop as I realise
I love you very much
And then we lay back on the bed
And hold each other near
Our eyes speak words louder than
The silence that we hear
Years pass by, we still lie here
Cobwebbed, but together
Frozen in our own time
Of a love that lasts forever.
