In a world of tarnished silver
Of iron turned to rust
There is one enticing jewel
Of sex and heat and lust
Female singers would cover up
If modesty was all the rage
But they have to dress like sluts
If they want to be front page
Pornography is commonplace
No longer hidden or hushed
Yet it's still seedy and dirty
True intimacy it's crushed
Sex sells, it's true, though slightly sad
That things have got so crude
And sad that anyone who thinks it so
Is slammed down as a prude.
