You can't get by without some pain,
Many days it's going to rain.
Some of these will leave a stain,
Try what may, they will remain.
But very soon the sky will clear,
No need then to dry a tear.
All around is bright with cheer,
May this last throughout the year.
But now and then the time will come,
When things will look so dark and glum.
That's the time to do your sums,
And count your blessings one by one.
Then you'll see the sun will shine,
Worries soon will leave your mind.
Sing a song to warm your heart,
Time to make a brand new start.
