Poppy Fields

A crimson field,
Full of blood,
Men dying,
A ruby flood.

A crimson sky,
Reflecting on,
All that bloodshed,
Under midday sun.

A crimson flower,
Reminding us,
Of heroes that died,
In all this fuss.

Knife

It penetrates me. Takes my life. Stabs me through. Does the knife. I wonder when. It will all end. Straight to hell. He will send. I can't believe. What you did. I just thought. You were a kid.

My Night

#youngwritershousehold. This is my tale. Of how I died. In that scarlet dress of mine. My beautiful ball. To crown me queen. Everyone was there. To see the new crowned queen. What a joyous day it was.

Brilliant!!!!!

@Janflower Thanks. Based on a few world war 1 books I read. My great grandpa died fighting.

Such sadness💔What a beautiful tribute✨💛

@ashhkat I unfortunately didn't know him, as he died shortly after my grandpa was born, so he grew up with no father.

Brilliant poem, sorry about your grandpa

What's the word?

@jan3601 no it was my great grandfather.
