Fancy Dress

A party, you say?
For @iPuss, today?
Guess I must get ready.

I'm always the best
At fancy dress
Costume ideas come a plenty.

The hard part lies
In when I decide
Which character I should portray.

Do I fly in the sky?
Sit in a forest and cry?
Or just go crazy and paint myself blue?

But, no, I've done that before!
I can't reuse ideas!
That'd be no fun, you see.

So that rules out some choices
Narrows it down
If only by two or three.

I could go as Corpse Bride
Or have I done that before?
I really cannot recall.

I do know, however
That Megamind and Song (first name River)
Are already off of the list.

I could copy Jenna Marbles!
Nyan cat costume!
But I don't want to seal others ideas.

I want to be me!
Something I worked to be,
Not a ripoff of somebody else.

So what do I like
That I could make a costume of
Using the things that I have?

I like Star Trek and Farscape
Dragons and Pirates
And definitely steampunk too,

Spongebob is fun,
And Scrubs is a laugh
Maybe I should go as a spoon...

I've got it! I know!
As to what I should go!
It was right here before my eyes!

It's simple! It's clear!
And perfectly queer!
Amazingly clever and funny!

I shall go as, you see,
What I really want to be,
@iPuss! The host of the party!

It's clever! It's weird!
No-one else will think of it!
I'll be alone in the choice!

I must go! Make haste!
Get my costume in place!
