A Darkening
When the end draws near
Things become dark
We run around trying to find a spark
But all we find is fear
The blank look of honest fear
No longer together we hide alone
When a shout turns into a moan
Even the smile will shed a tear
Surrounded by darkness now we search for a light
In the distance there is a hint of gold
Quickly mending the dark cold
Starting off dim then getting bright
The darkness of the tunnel is coming to an end
Crawling out into the light of day
The sun keeps us in disarray
For fear is now a friend
