When I first joined Opuss I thought I had to write for other people.
At the time the first story I wrote was @puffy1980's prequel almost to 'Stan'. I kinda took that as being an almost theme to Opuss and so I began 'Diary of the Mentally Undead'.
Admittedly, in hindsight, I couldn't keep up. I love writing in first person... But not that genre. I read that genre and enjoy it because I'm almost in awe of people that are able to write in that style. Whilst I love 'diary of the mentally undead' I didn't know where I was going with it and didn't know where my characters had come from or where they're going. (wow a mismatch of tense there lol!!)
I soon realised the wealth of different people and minds here. I love reading different perspectives and imaginations!
I then realised I felt comfortable enough to post my own inner thoughts that reflect the real me. I'm more fairies and witches than murderers and rapists.
So finally I've started posting.
Most of the poems I write are off the top of my head... Within seconds. I think if I stopped to
Think about them they'd be rubbish!!
