The most annoying and mean girls ever. Kennedy, Jessica, Carolyn, Leah, and Fiona. Kennedy had major girly-girl issues. Jessica cried when her hair wasn't right. Carolyn was a glitter girl. Leah was the glamor geek. And Fiona was their dirty rotten leader.
"So Fiona what's the 411?" asked Kennedy. Adjusting her mascara so it was just right. I had a locker right next to Fiona and her "posse."
"Well Justin Elbe just got the cutest haircut, and my golden heels broke" she said. Like anyone cared!? Fiona added sparkly lipgloss to her glamorous outfit. I wore sport shorts, and my paint splatter shirt.
"Eek nerd blocking my light!" Fiona screeched. "And what is she wearing. Sport shorts were so NEVER!" everyone pointed, laughed, and whispered to their friends.
"Look at her!"
"Eew that outfit is so TO NOT die for!" I slammed my locker shut, and stormed to class.
"Good the new girl is learning" I heard Fiona brag.
"Kenzie late" snapped Mr. Smith. "Detention." I flopped down into my seat. "Fiona detention" Fiona laughed and then turned to Mr.Smith.
"My father, the principal of this school. Won't be happy to hear I have detention, I'm helping him after school" said Fiona twirling her hair.
"Warning, the next warning you get. Detention!" Fiona smiled, showing off her glittery hot pink lipgloss and then took a seat.
"Whats the story on Fiona?" I asked my "friend" Ginger.
"She's the meanest, most popular girl in school" said Ginger. Not much of a help. I got up to get a soda. Plop! The soda came out. Dr.Pepper my favorite. Fiona grabbed it before me.
"Aww thanks, your already buying things for your queen" said Fiona.
"I have another dollar it's fine" I said.
"Perfect" said Fiona smirking at me. "Kennedy's thirsty too. Karol."
"It's Kenzie" I said.
"The only name I remember is Fiona" she said and posed for the school newspaper. I growled and went back to my seat, I'm broke and annoyed now!
"Babe how was school?" asked mom opening the convertible car door.
"Blah" I said, mom understood my no-talking language unlike anyone else.
"Do I really have to start halfway through the year?" I asked, slouching in my seat unhappily.
"Yes Kenzie" said mom. Turning on the radio to my favorite station.
"Thanks" I managed to say. "Am I going to dad's?" I asked.
Mom turned onto his block, and gave a slight nod. I picked up my backpack, and got out.
"Kenzie its not that I don't love you it's just-" mom sighed.
"I know. Save it for the judge" I muttered, and opened the door.
"Babe, we're you expecting visitors?" asked the girl, lying on my dad's couch.
"Yeah Stef that's my daughter Kenzie!" called dad from the kitchen.
"Oh hi!" exclaimed "Stef." She stood up and led me to the kitchen.
"Hey Kenzie!" said dad, slapping hamburger meat onto the cutting board. "Hug?" I winced.
"I'll pass" I said, grabbing a pile of meat.
"That's my little girl" said dad, smiling at me.
Stefani was chewing an imaginary piece of gum.
"So babe, what's are dinner plans?" asked Stefani.
"Hamburgers" said dad plainly. I tried not to giggle into the hamburger.
"Uh baby, vegetarian" said Stefani, closing her beauty magazine. Dad sighed, an grabbed his coat.
"We'll go get pizza" said dad.
"Thanks dear" said Stefani, kissing dad. And adding her pink sweater to a glittery black short dress.
Bad news, Fiona was at the Cheesy Pizzeria with her family.
"Oh Kenzie is this your mom?" Fiona asked.
"She isn't my mom" I snarled.
"Figures, if she was. You would have a MUCH better wardrobe" said Fiona. Twirling her blonde hair, and waving to the new kid Colin.
"Kenzie I this your friend" asked Stefani, putting her mirror away.
"She isn't my-"
"Oh hello, I'm Fiona. Kenzie's too shy to introduce me to get mom and dad" said Fiona. Stefani laughed.
"Were not married yet, but" Stefani wiggled an engagement ring. "We will be!"
"Oh what a surprise!" said Fiona.
"No kidding" I said, as dad gave me a disapproving glance. Fiona added lipstick to her outfit.
"What's your secret?" Stefani asked.
"Fruit Variety, one tiny drop" said Fiona. I realized they were talking about hair products.
"Babe, would you be a dear and buy that for me?" asked Stefani. Fiona smirked at me and continued chatting with Stefani.
"Dad seriously, your engaged to that?"
"Kenzie-"
"She's burning up your money, dad. And you don't stop her" I said, accidentally slipping into my British accent.
"Hey, Kenzie's British" Fiona burst out laughing. I wiped a tear away and ran out of the pizzeria.
"What's wrong?" asked mom?" once I had shown up at her door at 3 in the morning. I snuffled and mom pulled me in and closed the door.
"Oh child" said mom. Hugging me tightly. "Your mattress is still up, you can stay." I smiled weakly and plopped down onto the mattress. Mom came in and kissed me on the head. "Your safe" said mom. She pulled the blanket up, and tucked a stuffed animal under my arm.
"Yes she's here!" yelled mom and slammed the phone down.
"Mom?" she jumped and turned toward me.
"Hey Kenzie" said mom, placing a bowl on the table.
"Was that dad?" I asked.
"Not it was his girlfriend, Stefani" said mom.
"You don't mind that dad has moved on?" I asked.
"Kenzie, it's doesn't affect me. I've moved on too" said mom.
"But what about dad? I'm part of your life too. But no one takes my answer" I said.
"Kenzie listen to me! Me and your dad chose to take this road" said mom and she went upstairs. I stirred my cereal around, letting it get soggy. Mom came down an hour later. "Dad's picking you up in 30 minutes."
"Ok" I said, no excited to meet dad's face. "So mom about Stefani?"
"No!" mom snapped and she stomped back upstairs.
"Oh we were so worried!" exclaimed Stefani. Hugging me tightly, I glared at dad. He gave me a disapproving look and stared at the car.
"Dad!"
"No Kenzie!"
"Look at me!" dad glanced but then turned away.
"You have no idea what this divorce has put me through! I have to say that my parents split and everyone feels sorry for me. When they should feel sorry for you 2! Who don't understand their own daughter!" dad looked taken aback.
"I understand what your going through" said dad.
"No you don't! You have no idea." I covered my face, and shook my head. I climbed into the car and collapsed against the seat.
Tears gushed down my face, I had bullies at school and now my parents.
Bubble! I stared at Josie, my orange fish.
"You understand right?" I asked. Josie stated at me, bubble bubble. Stefani came in.
"Listen I know what your going through" said Stefani. "When I was young, my parents divorced and then they remarried." Stefani held out her hand.
"We finish this together?"
"Together" promised Stefani. I thought about the question, and nodded.
"Now what's wrong?"
"I like you Stefani, I really do. But the thing is ever since my parents divorced 3 years ago. Well no one asked about my opinion. And I'm part of the family too" Stefani smiled at me.
"I understand, you feel neglected" I nodded.
"It went so fast, I didn't get to decide on anything."
"Hey are you Kenzie?" asked a girl. I shrugged, what was I supposed to say? "I'm Ginger!" she waved happily.
"Look Count Dorkula" said Fiona, she laughed with her friends.
"Fiona shut up! You think you can take your anger about your tongue piercing on other people" snapped Ginger. Fiona glared at Ginger and stomped off.
"Your not afraid?"
"Why would I?" asked Ginger.
"Well that's Fiona, like the FIONA" I said. Ginger shrugged, she was funny like that.
