Face plant
Into a brick wall
Too many emotions
Tears come as I fall
Trust
Happiness
Finally true
Then you pulled this
After being pelted
With rocks and bullets
I still trudged on
Going with it
Thinking you'd clear the way
I was all good
But you instead placed
A boulder, big and bold
Ran straight into your trap
No ideas as to what or why
But I did know
Soon, I'd cry
After taking the bullets
And dodging the truth
Emotions were buried
Far beneath the roof
Hit hard enough
Emotions explode
Every single time
In your secret code
A large crack
Formed on the boulder
Now something hurts
Much deeper than my shoulder
The thump-thump of my heart
'Twas cheerful once upon a time
But now thumps no longer
With your actions sublime
No place for smiles
'Tis where I live
And a place in your heart
For me, never to give
