This piece you hold
Glistening in the light
Is far from old
And shines very bright
It knows of pain
And happiness too
Only knew sadness
Until came along you
Full of scratches
And constantly put back together
Melted with your words of passion
No matter the weather
The very few who held
Made a strong scar
But you came and beheld
As if it was a star
Once was dark
No room for smiles
Was my glass heart
Knowing nothing but files
You then arrived
In my most hurtful time
Instilled hope to help me strive
At the flip of a dime
My glass heart
Terribly fragile
You hold this wondrous art
And make life worth while
