Chapter 3: Lucas
Dreaming
I stood in a field and knew exactly where I was. I was on the first stage of hell.
“Lucas.” I heard someone shout. I turned around to find Jane stood a few metres behind me. I ran to her and kissed her. But she didn’t kiss me back she just stood there in silence.
“Jane, what has he done to you?” Tears poured out of her eyes
“I…I…” She stammered “I don’t think I’m strong enough to tell you” She confessed
“Jane! Please tell me whatever it is we will figure it out?” I told her
“I kissed the devil” Shock hit me and I stood in complete silence
“Jane why would you-”
“He kissed me first and when he does I start to crave it. It’s all my fault” she said “I felt I needed to confess that even if you are just a dream.”
“What do you mean if I am a dream? You’re in my dream.”
“We are in each other’s dreams?” she asked
“I think we are Jane.”
“So I’ve just confessed to the real you?” she asked me
“Yes”
“I’m so sorry Lucas. I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t control myself. I even asked him to kiss me Lucas. I crave it.” She cried
“Jane. I don’t blame you for anything. It is his fault-” she cut me off
“He wants me to marry him Lucas” she cried
“He what?”
“He wants me to marry him. He said to call him husband and to adore him.”
“That evil-” I started
“Lucas what do I do? I don’t want to marry him.”
“You need to get out of there.”
“I’m at the top of hell, even if I did try and run away he would find me.” She stopped suddenly “Lucas I have to go. He’s coming.”
“I’m going to find you Jane. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
I woke up sweating. I had to find her or she was going to be married to the devil. But how? I spent hours lay still until I figured out exactly what to do…
