Chapter 4: Jane
Lucas’s journey
I woke to the sound of music. Ironically it was the song highway to hell by ac/dc.
“Arrrr. Princess, you’re awake” Lucifer said smiling
“Will you stop calling me that? I’m not your princess.” I snapped
“What would you like me to call you?”
“Jane.” I said
“Jane then. How did you sleep? Since you have been sleeping for 3 days now”
“Three days?”
“Yes, I went to see your ex-boyfriend yesterday morning”
“He’s not my ex.” I shouted
“You’re my fiancé. Of course you’re he’s your ex” he replied
“I’m not marrying you” I screamed
“Excuse me?” He growled
“I’m not marring you. It’s simple to understand” The music stopped. “What did Lucas say to you? What did you do to him?” The devil smiled “Tell me” I shouted
“I think you will marry me. I’ve sent your boyfriend on a little trip” he showed his teeth in a wicked smile. They were sharp and pointy. I stepped back to show him I didn’t want him to come any closer. He ignored me and took a few steps towards me.
“What did you do to him?” I hissed, taking another step back.
“Nothing really. He accepted my deal.”
“Lucas would never make a deal with you”
“You don’t know him very well. Do you?” he replied “I said if he could pass through the nine stages of hell in 6 days, he could have you back and I wouldn’t marry you. But if he fails, your mine princess” I wanted to kill him.
“He won’t fail” I shouted, Lucifer grinned
“I think he will. You see I’ve been making short clips of you kissing me and sending them to your boyfriend.”
“You liar”
“Believe what you want princess, but choose after you see this.” He walked towards me and touched my arm and I have a vision of Lucas. He looked up at the blood red sky, and then I saw his vision. He saw me kissing the devil. “No!” I shouted at Lucas. He started to cry.
Lucifer let go of my hand.
“Believe me now?” I nodded. Guilt and shock twisted in my stomach.
“You’re awful! You evil low life.” Lucifer grabbed me and kissed me again so I bit him on his snake like tongue. He pulled away.
“I like it when you’re mad. Makes you look like you believe in evil” I scowled at him “You’re like me”
“I’m nothing like you. I hate you!” I screamed in his face. I turned away but he grabbed my wrist .
“I know you hate me” he replied calmly.
“What would you do if I said ‘I loved you’? Would you scream at me? Send me back to Lucas?”
“Nice try. Wasn’t good enough. Say I love you all you like. I wouldn’t care.” Lucifer grinned
“So why marry me? What’s the big marriage game for? To hurt Lucas? To hurt me?”
“I need you to adore me Jane”
“Not going to happen.” I scowled
“We will see” He replied. He kissed me on the top of the head, this time. “Now, I have go. You know kingdom to run, world to destroy.” He let go of my wrist and left. I need to get out of here. I thought
Jane? I heard
Who is that? I asked
Lucas. It’s Lucas. I can hear you now. He replied
Lucas. What did you do? You have been letting him into your mind. Please don’t torture yourself, I really can’t stop him.
I know Jane. He has just kissed you again hasn’t he? I could hear Lucas’s pain.
Yes. Lucas I’m sorry. I can’t tell you how sorry I am. Lucas sighed
I’m sorry too
For what Lucas? You haven’t done anything wrong. I thought
I didn’t save you. I should have been there for you. I should be there for you now but I’m not-
Lucas! This is not your fault. Yes, I can’t wait to get away from here but I can deal with it.

I… I don’t find it amazing, but I can stand it. I replied I heard what you have to do. Im sorry. You shouldn’t have to come for me.
I need to. I can’t live without you. Lucas thought

Jane, I have to go. But remember that I love you and that I’m on my way.
I love you to Lucas. Tears streamed down my face. But I knew what I needed to do. I needed to get out of here. I needed information. I needed to hurt Lucifer.
