Chapter 15
I woke up in a bed. Where? Damien’s house. Was I safe? Looks like it. Where was Damien? Don’t know. I got up out of bed and tiptoed downstairs. No Damien. There was a small note on the table.
‘I’ll be back soon. If you’re reading this I’ll be back in about 10 minutes. I love you. Xxx Damien’
Awwww. I wonder where he was.
10 minutes past quick but he wasn’t back yet. It got to an hour and I started to worry, but pushed the worry aside as I knew he’d be alright. At two hours, I was pacing. 3 hours, what do I do? 4 hours, where the hell was he? On the fifth hour the door opened and Damien walked in. Thank god!
His clothes were torn and he was bleeding. Oh my gosh. He had bite marks down his arms. What had happened? I ran up to him.
“Damien. What happened to you? Who did this to you? I need to get you to a hospital” I pulled him into the living room.
“No. It’s alright. I heal quickly” He replied.
“I don’t care. You’re hurt!” I snapped. Oops maybe that was a little too harsh.
“Christine I’m fine” No you not. Why wouldn’t he let me take care of him?
“Tell me that when your healed. What happened to you?” I demanded an answer.
“My family” Those evil little-
“They did this to you” He held my face in his hands to try and calm me down, but it wasn’t working. I would kill them. Well… if I was a vampire. Ughhhh why can’t I go after them? That’s right because I’m a human.
“Yes” Damien replied. “They came here, I was trying to protect you” Oh my gosh.
“Oh my gosh. Why didn’t you just let them have me? You wouldn’t have been hurt” I cried
“You mean too much to me” Oh Damien!
“What can I do?”
“Nothing. I’m alright” There has to be something “Just come here. Let me protect you” Him protect me? He’s hurt!
“Let me bandage you up first” I dressed his wounds and then he lay down on the couch, leaving a space for me. He was too hard to resist. I lay beside him and stared into his eyes.
“You’re beautiful” He whispered.
“Nope. You’re beautiful”
“Don’t say you’re not beautiful. You are”
“Your hurt, its making you delusional” I laughed.
“Maybe, but I’m not delusional about you” I giggled as he pushed some hair from my eyes. “What did you do while I was gone?”
“Worry about you”
“Awwww. When I was gone, all I did was think about you. I worried that you would be hurt” He said. Such a romantic!
“Thank you” Damien put his arm on my waist and I put mine on his. At that moment out lips connected and we shared a passionate kiss. His arm moved further down my back and he pulled me towards him. I smiled. We were pressed together and I enjoyed it.
“I’m not moving away from you” Yay!
“Good” He kissed me softly. “I guess you’re taking me home tonight then”
“If you want”
“I think Jessica needs me back tonight”
“Yes. Of course”
“Will you still stay though?” I tried to not sound needy but it somehow failed.
“Yes. You make my world”
“Glad I could help” Damien laughed as I was about to get but he pulled me down again for another kiss. I giggled into the kiss. He was so sweet.
“Let’s go” He whispered…
