God. Fact Or Fiction?

Hey,
Can I ask you guys a question? If you believe in god.... How do you believe in god? I'm an atheist myself and don't understand how some people can believe that someone made the planet and everything... I just don't understand....

I'm not sure how I can to believe in god but I wasn't born into a Christian home. My friend took me to a summer camp with her church and I had a miracle happen to me. A year or so later she invited me to Sunday school but it was aimed at kids so we sung and they told stories. I came because I enjoyed it but after a while I learnt about god and got to know him. Now i believe it like I believe that the heart pumps blood. I didn't used to and I'm not sure how I got here but somehow god showed me the way

At the risk of releasing a tidal wave, I'll tell you why I believe in God:)

Sorry it's quite long :s

I believe in God because I see His handiwork and evidence everywhere. Life is a miracle. The planet will live on is a miracle. The fact that we were made by a omnipotent, omnipresent God is practically incomprehensible! But I do believe. Do you have a Kik? If so, Kik me at pianogirl94, and I'll go more in depth. It's easier than leaving a gazillion comments!

the planet WE live on sorry for the typo...

I believe a different way. I mix the Big Bang with god and other stuff like that. That way I satisfy practically everything

Oh hey, just read your bio! Kik me when you have time!

@Davedave16, if you think about like that, in trying to satisfy everything, you are actually satisfying nothing. Ever heard the saying "people trying to please everyone only end up pleasing no one" ? You can Kik me to if you want :)

Or we're all in a massive computer called G.O.D and the program it uses to be with us is called J.E.S.U.S

@PianoGirl94 ^👆

Okaaaay...@Davedave16 never heard that one...but it's not true...sigh I knew this would start an onslaught...I hate arguing...

@Davedave16 loving that idea

@eivilduccy what was the miracle?

I agree @eivilduccy ! It's hard to explain!

At the beginning of the summer I was told that I needed glasses and I hated them so much. I had something wrong with my eyes and the opticians said that it would just gradually get worse. This was also the year I went to the church thing. My friends there and some o fate leader prayed for me and by the end of the summer I didn't need glasses. It may seem small and stupid but to me that was the sign that god was there, because he took away that negative impact. That was about 5 or 6 years ago and I still don't need glasses. :)

Sorry, and some of the leaders.

@PianoGirl94 yeah! It's hard to explain everything without rambling on for ages. I'm not very good at summarising, lol

@eivilduccy that is sooo a miracle!!! I have glasses so I know what I big thing it is! And I am terrible at summarizing to! You are in good company, haha. God is definitely real and at work in this world! Ever read God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew? @eivilduccy?

There is no such thing as a God other than the one that lives inside people's head. This is where it gets a bit more complicated. Which God exactly is the correct God. Zeus, Thor, Ganesh, Shiva?. That's just a handful, there are about 3000 more to pick from. In respect to miracles, nope. They do not exist in the sense that you have made it out to be. When I was young I used to speak with a stammer. I do not any longer. Miracle?. No, I learned to control it. It was incurable a hundred or so years ago. There will be more to the story of your healing eyes than you are aware of.

@blindsilence I thought you believed in god?

@Tweedledee which one?.

@PianoGirl94 I haven't read it, is it good?

@blindsilence aren't you a Christian?

@blindsilence why are you so against God?

And no, @Tweedledee @blindsilence is not a Chrisian.

And no @Tweedledee, @blindsilence is not a Christian.

@PianoGirl94 if you can tell me who is the correct God to follow and I will tell you.

@blindsilence I don't believe there is a god.

@blindsilence The one true God of the Bible. As in the Christian Holy Bible.

@PianoGirl94 There are many other gods to chose from, all equally as true as the other. The other Gods do not exist, why should the Christian God?. The Ten Commandments is not a reason.

@blindsilence I agree

@blindsilence I'm not in the mood to argue. And your asking a trick question. You say "tell me which God is true and I'll believe" but you don't believe there is a God to begin with. And you obviously don't care, so I am not going to try and persuade you. I'm not going to say anything in my defense cause you'll just twist it. Sorry.

I wasn't arguing, you asked the question and I answered it. I have not asked a trick question. You perceive it to be tricky because your faith has been threatened by my response and you do not know how to answer it.

@blindsilence I couldn't resist replying. My faith is not threatened. And it never will be. Period. End of discussion.

Sorry to bring this up again but how do people who do not believe in God believe that the world and everything in it wasted by a 'big bang'. I just do not get that.

@daydreamingbaby I meant created by the 'big bang'

@daydreamingbaby I don't understand

@Tweedledee if you don't believe in God how do think the world was created? Like do you believe in the big bang etc.

@daydreamingbaby I believe in the Big Bang yes. It has more proof that religion

I believe in evolution, but not the big bang. I think some other force created the world. Who knows what?

I mean, if an atom spilt apart it could create lots of energy, but then where did the rocks and the sun and stars suddenly come from?
