"Why is it plunging at us?" our young daughter wailed.
Hissing teeth and whirling claws camped at the top stair rail.
4 of us held hostage, hide behind the bedroom door.
Things had seemed so promising just recently before.
Wayward waif, abandoned in a busy parking lot.
Pathetic, irresistible, couldn't be forgot.
Blue eyed ball of downy fluff, so happy to come home.
Purring and affectionate, no longer on its own.
Then it met our Chesapeake, a large and gentle beast,
Who dearly missed the cat we had, now several months deceased.
"How wonderful!" He grinned and wagged, "A kitten has arrived!"
The Siamese simply went insane to see his golden eyes.
"Bring me here to be a snack?" the kitten seemed to think.
"I'll rend you limb from limb instead, I'll shred you in a wink!"
So we hide and cower from its evil, bloodlust hunger.
This kitten has become a vicious, bloody plunger!
