Lost Spirits (One)

I was taking a shower, just a normal morning shower when I heard a scream. Not a scream of fright, more like someone was trying to get to me. I stopped my shower and stepped out. The window at the front of the room was the only window in the bathroom, the table in front had a tall orchid on it, it was in a beautiful mint green vase.

As I dried my self I walked down the landing, past my brothers room and down a couple of flights of stairs.

Mother was preparing something in the kitchen, her eyes widened as I stood idly in my towel.

I spoke before she could,
"Mum, did you scream?"
"What, no dear, I heard nothing." he expression confused.
"But-" she cut me off.
"Darling, please go upstairs and get dressed before your father comes down for breakfast." I believe I left the room a little more confused That mother.

I did as mother asked, and came downstairs dressed for the day. Mary handed me my breakfast; eggs, toast, mushrooms and a slice of bacon.

I ate the toast, and the amount of times I told Mary I didn't eat mushrooms or egg, but she always gave me it all the same!

I thought back to this morning, it hadn't been the first time something strange like this had happened.

It was about a year back and I was woken by someone talking, thinking it was my brother, Alexander and his girlfriend, I called out for him. As I got no reply I left my bed and walked down that same landing, when I got to his room, I peered in, and there he was, fast asleep in his bed.

This had got me quite frightened but not enough to keep me up any longer.

After finishing my food I took my coat and went outside, planning on going to the woods something made me feel like I had to visit the graveyard.

We had a church complete with graveyard just outside the gates, theoretically it belonged to us but we has no use for it, so now it's a public place.

That's when I saw it, a tall figure, dressed in white. It was a woman, she looked up in my direction. I froze, I knew her.
