half empty , half full

fresh off the pavement
we were sitting with our minds set
not yet fully loaded
but enough so that our dreams would be read

quick through the darkness
we were swimming in abstinence
wondering which directions were left

all the voices opened
the words incredibly clear
you couldn't hear
cause you sat through the tears

it was pure
it was enduring
it was all right at the moment

but we can't savour it too much
is it not enough?
the glass appears to be
half empty

but to some
tilt your head
90 degrees
that wispy breeze
it cradled her mind
you were
half full

The Birds Sing The Blues

On the dreariest of days the clouds oppress the skies. The flowers fail to smile. The sun refuses to shine. The wind adds an edge to the atmosphere. This is when the birds sing the blues.

..Sigh..

It seems like trouble is brewing, which always makes me frown. When shadows engulf our minds and throw away our crowns. When something happens, it fills everyone with rage.

Remember

Remember what it was like. To live among the light. To bask in its brightness. To feel all its might. Remember how it felt. For your ice cream to melt. And the hand you was dealt.
