Internal Storm

I shook my own hand
And travelled deep within me
My skin absorbed the wind and the drought
My heart seduced the veins around it
And crawled within me

The sands took stand
To dry the love within me
My love-worn dreams
My dreams-torn love
Trembled, within me

The sorrow that I left behind
Gave birth within me
And the creature cried
Wetting what dried
Within me.

I didn't die, but something died
Within me
It never aged
But was just caged
Within me.

Shaman, shaman
Leave the tribe to be
Your magic bloomed
In a land that's doomed
Within me

I see the light
So bright, so bright
I'm taking flight
Within me.

Melancholy

I know there's more to living, 'cos I remember the good ole days. I see friends enjoying life, without my general malaise. My reserve of get up and go, long since got up and went.

Remember

Remember what it was like. To live among the light. To bask in its brightness. To feel all its might. Remember how it felt. For your ice cream to melt. And the hand you was dealt.

..Sigh..

It seems like trouble is brewing, which always makes me frown. When shadows engulf our minds and throw away our crowns. When something happens, it fills everyone with rage.
