The Listeners-Part V

The way his eyes glowed was odd. It was a bright yellow, but David still didn't realise until the shock of everything took over. His heart began to pound. His head began to hurt. He walked slowly backwards towards the door.
"Where do you think you're going?" said the weird man, who was seeming more and more like a ghoul every second.
David turned around and made a bolt for the door. But the old guy flicked his wrist and the door slammed shut and was locked.
David looked back at the guy, and the guy began to lift himself up off the floor. Suddenly out of nowhere, the guy lunged towards David who whacked him with his flashlight. As the thing got up, David swore he heard the house give a heartfelt cry. Suddenly it dawned upon David. No, surely not ... In fact, he was right.
