I was so tired. I haven't slept in days because every night the guy came into my house and destroyed it. My parents were coming home in a week. Where did the time go? My life was bitter. I sighed. I was sitting on the couch reading a novel. The only thing I have been doing. I felt like I was caged in, like I didn't even have a life, like I didn't even exist. I heard a loud thump. He was here. The guy.
"Well, hello Amber." The guy said as he came around and stood in front of me.
"W-w-hat do you want?" I stuttered.
"The same thing I want every time I come here."
I looked at him quizzical.
"Your blood." He whispered just loud enough for me to hear. I didn't dare move. I stayed still. I was frozen and in shock. Dreaming? Hopefully. Everything suddenly clicked into place. The fast speed, coming through the windows, the sharp teeth, and wanting my.. Blood. Vampire. One word Clarified it all.
"Are you a v-v-vampire?" I asked.
"Close, but not quite."
"Then what are you?"
"I'm a different type of species."
"Yeah, I picked that up."
"There isn't a name for my kind. I'm more of a lot of different species put together."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I run fast. I drink blood but also feed off of dreams. I can jump high and climb higher than you can imagine."
I utterly jumped up from the couch and took a step back.
"Why so scared?" He said with a mischievous glint in his eye. I saw a flash of light and next thing I knew he was standing write in front of me.
"Do you feed off of my dreams?" I asked,
"Why no child, you're to special."
"Then why do you want to drink my blood?" I questioned.
"Well, it's not because I want to kill you. It's just I can't control my thirst. I always want blood. I would kill for blood, even a special loved one." He laughed an evil laugh.
"So you don't want to kill me?"
"No, I just need your help. I'm not a danger to you. Unless you come to close and I will have to kill you because I won't be able to hold myself back. It will happen to quickly." I shuttered and stepped back a few feet.
"Why do you need my help?"
"That night 2 years ago I lost something and you're the only one who lived or I know of who is still living that was there that night."
"No! I don't want to talk about it!" I screamed, tears brimmed my eyes.
"Please, you have got to help me! My dad is gone and I don't know if he is still alive and if he is then where he would be." He begged.
"No, I just can't."
"Fine. I'll just go then." He said as he started walking away. I started thinking about how it was to have a missing parent or two in my case. It was terrible. It felt like I had a whole in my chest and everyday that passed without seeing them, the hole grew bigger and deeper.
"Wait." I said.
"What?"
"I'm in."
My life changed so much that day.
