Paul had been poking me and getting close to me and touching me for a while, and it annoyed me. Because I was trying to get over him and when he did stuff like that I couldn't.
Soon, we were play fighting again, and he had my arms in his hands. Then, he let go of them abruptly.
"We're not supposed to be doing this!" He cried. "Are you flirting?"
I got close to his face. "Are YOU flirting?"
He said nothing, and I backed away, grinning at him.
"I think you are," I thought, studying his sheepish smile.
The night was fun, and we were all enjoying ourselves.
I was laying down, grinning at Sally, when a foot swiped across my face.
I looked over at Paul, who was laying down across from me. Then, I shook my head.
"Alright," I growled playfully. "Your turn."
I tried to get my foot in his face too, and we started wrestling. We started laughing, shoving our feet into each other's faces.
Later, as we ate raspberry squares, Paul actually rested his arm on my leg, almost affectionately.
I pulled away.
A little later, Paul decided it would be funny to take a pillow and pretend it was Jason.
"Oooo," he whispered in a low, mock-seductive voice. "I'm Jason. Come here, Em. Come heeeeere."
Before I could stop him, he was shoving the pillow against my face making kiss noises.
Then, he pulled the pillow away, showing the other side.
"I'm Gigi!" (Gigi is our nickname for Texas guy) "And Jason, you can't have her! Come here Em, mm mwah mwah mwah mwah!"
"Stop, Paul!" I begged, my voice muffled by the pillow crushed against my mouth.
He flipped the pillow around. "Screw you, Gigi! She's mine! Mmmmmmm mwah mwah mwah mwah!"
This went on for a good five minutes, me fighting back and trying to pry the pillow from him, him laughing.
"Stop it, Paul, you could suffocate her!" Sally cried, but she was laughing, too.
When Paul stopped his little game, I pulled myself up, out of breath.
"What the heck, Paul?" I cried, slapping his arm.
