The Magic: Day 8 The Magic Ingredient

This was a very easy chapter to understand. Basically its about being grateful for the food you eat. I have always been grateful that i am able to eat at least 3 full meals a day. This chapters assignment for the day is to give thanks and express gratitude before you eat and drink. YES even drink!

Before i ate i had to say THANK YOU. Be grateful for the people who worked the fields, cooked the food, transported the fruits and veggies... Its a huge operation just to have food on the table so be grateful. About being grateful for what you drink... Before i drank, even just a sip anytime of the day i said THANK YOU. Reflect on how you are able to have a sip of water.... How people layed pipes where water can reach you, how people work to filter water, how people manufactured water filters and so on.

This chapter also told me to pretend to sprinkle magic dust on my food. Magic thank you dust. Which i didnt do coz if someone saw me they might send me to the loony bin. The concept of sprinkling magic dust, according to the book, is that it intensifies the feeling of gratitude. Thinking youre sprinkling magic thank you dust will purify the food hence you have a greater feeling of gratitude when you eat or drink.

The more gratitude you give for food and water the more food and water there will be since the law of attraction dictates that a huge amount of gratitude must equal a mass amount of reaction. The book actually states that this gratitude giving on food and water can solve starvation and the lack of food and water in the world. This got me thinking about the people who are starving.... Im prety sure even if they are starving they are able to eat a few bites here and there from donations or whatever. Knowing this, im pretty sure they are grateful for the little food they get, maybe not all of them but im sure a few of them would be really grateful once they get a bite of food. If the law of attraction is universal, wouldnt these starving people stop starving once they feel grateful for a bite of food no matter how small because their gratefulness will attract more food? I mean when im hungry and im finally able to eat, i just burst into gratefulness at the first bite.

Oh well who am i to question this. Im just a crazy person trying to cure my negativity with this book since i dont know any inexpensive therapist.
