(inspired by Alfa She Wolf by iPuss).
Tristan was rejected from the Opussian pack when he was just a cub.
He wasn't the strongest, he wasn't the fastest,
He wasn't the most dashing of the litter.
Abandoned shortly after his birth, he learned to fend for himself.
He fought with animals, ran from danger when he was outnumbered,
And learned to accept who he was.
He was a survivor.
And the years had been kind to him.
For years, he hunted around the forest, scared to return to his family.
He could hear the lonely cries calling out in the night.
The cries reminded him of a wolf he had once known.
Her name was Mia.
He didn't know what had become of Mia, but he remembered her so vividly.
Maybe it was time to return.
Maybe he could find her.
He doubted she would remember him.
She was too important,
A natural leader,
Identified young.
A burden she must carry.
Maybe he could help her carry some of it.
A wolves are better in packs.
He had made his decision.
He would go home.
