The #colourchallenge contest is closed, and I like what I got! Many good entries to choose from, but only three could place so here they are:
In 3rd place, there's @eddie12309 with a lovely "Twas The Night Before Christmas" inspired poem, "Violet", but with an unexpected twist: this time it's about the reindeer! And further, we meet the littlest reindeer, Violet, whose dream comes true when she gets to fill in the lead in place of Rudolph!
In 2nd place is @Bobdimmer with her poem 'The Peony Days', about girls who are raised with all the things a little girl could want, and grow up to be stuck up and spoiled bitches and then look back at their life and realize that it wasn't worth it.
And finally, in 1st place, is @Klaire with her poem 'Standing By You', a message of love from a deceased car accident victim to their loved one.
Wow! Quite a variety of approaches from just one color! And good interpretations of purple too: violet, peony, lavender, and orchid. I like it!
So, excellent job to all, and now over to Klaire!
