What Are Words Worth?

A picture's worth a thousand words
Or so I've heard them say,
But I've never seen a picture do what words can anyway.
I've seen pictures of mountains, reflective lakes, sunsets too,
But I've never seen them inspire quite the same way that words do.
I've seen girls, their fingers twined with lengths of colored string,
I've seen them lean on gates, pose upside down, hold random things.
I've seen quotes in funky fonts, assembled in new ways,
Lovely words, pleasing aesthetics, together they amaze.
Photography is its own art, and I love it for sure,
But it lacks that certain personal touch that creative writing can cure.
When I let my thoughts go, and my words flow, nothing will staunch the stream.
I create a world unique to my style, and my way of thinking.
They can try as they might, but no one can rightly copy me,
They can emulate a photographer - but writing is a another story.

No Offence

My poems are thoughts. That come from my mind. Some of them dirty. Some can be kind. I can write fiction. Or even the truth. My sexual poems. Go through the roof. Sometimes you won't like.

Pencil

Hand me my pencil, let me write. Forget the pad and phone. Scribble down some words tonight. And make them all your own. Write a poem to a lover. A story or an ode. As long as someone or another.
