When Poppy Met Peter

Chapter 3 ~

She opened the door. And there stood Justin. He had a big box of chocolates and a red gift bag. "Hey! Happy birthday Poppy!" Justin shouted hugging her. As he let go of his girlfriend Tommy, only knee-high, came bounding out of the kitchen and ran up to him.
"Hello!" Justin shouted putting down the gifts and lifting Tommy into his arms.
"He likes you!" Poppy laughed as the dog licked Justin's arms. He put down Thomas and closed the door. Mr and Mrs Marks were at work so Poppy led them to the lounge. He showed her the chocolate.
"Yum!" they giggled. Next he gave her the gift bag. Inside was a bottle of perfume, a bath set and a card.
"Aww! Thank you! Shall I cook dinner?"
"Nah we got plans!" Poppy hoped he would say that! After all what 11 year old wants to cook on their birthday! Justin took Poppy to a field and they had a picnic. The basket and blanket were already set out and there was lots of Poppy's fav foods. They began to tuck into the strawberrys and the chocolate etc.- Poppy loved everything that was in the basket! When they had eaten all the food, Justin gave Poppy another gift.
"For you my flower," he whispered putting a necklace, with a poppy charms on it, around his girlfriends neck.
"I love it babe," Poppy whispered in his ear before kissing him. The lovers lay down and began kissing again. Poppy smiled, "Best birthday ever!" That made Justin frown.
"What?" panicked Poppy.
"OMG! Sorry Pops I gotta go!" he exclaimed looking at his watch.
"Where?" asked Poppy.
"Erm... Piano!"
"What! You don't even take piano!" Poppy shouted, a tear forming in her eye.
"How do you know! I don't tell you everything! And I'm pretty sure you don't tell me everything! I bet that your just 'dog sitting' Tommy!" Justin shouted running off, but what he didn't know was that Poppy was following him. She followed him all the way to...
