Chapter 9 ~
Aunt Melina took me to the hotel near my old house and we got some arrangements.
"I'm really sorry hun but Joe and Lou put Thomas in the pound," she whispered.
"Oh. He was my best birthday present ever," I sobbed hugging Melina. She held me tight for several minutes. Aunt Melina drove me back to Joes house to pick up my things.
"Well!" shouted Melina staring as Lou tipped all my things out of the window- including my fish!
"Physico!" I shouted putting my things into the car. Luckily for Ted and Ed ( my fish ) there was a little pond nearby. I scooped them up and let them swim in the pond. This wasn't over. I asked Melina if she would drive me to the pet store. She said yes but didn't come in. Melina gave me $50 to spend! I went straight for the household pet aisle- then to the rats. Matthew always said he wanted rats. I still wasn't friends with Matthew but I had an idea. I bought two white rats and a cage and food. I paid- $90 beeped up! Oh no! I dug my hand into my pockets and pulled out another $40. Aunty Melina would NOT want rats in her car so I took a jog down the road. I knocked and ( thank god! ) Matty answered.
"I'll miss you, soo!" I whispered giving them to him.
"Wow!" he laughed taking the cage.
"But, you need to hide them in your mum and dads bed later!" I demanded.
"No because I don't want to be in trouble!" he laughed.
"Say it was me!" I shouted kissing him for the last time before hopping into the car. Our return plane was this evening so we drove back to the hotel.
"I'm nipping to get a takeaway pizza, I'll be 40 minutes do you want to come darling?" asked Aunty Melina.
"No thanks, and I'll be good!" I giggled. I was very responsible for saying I was only 11! But that dosent matter because here, this place is so small everyone knows everyone! This would be a good time to tell you about Melina. Melina is my mum, Margrets, sister, but my mum moved here due to the heat and all that kinda stuff. Melina is rich because her husband, Terry Baker, is a famous actor working away (in Las Vegas) on a brand new film and sends half his money to Florida. The reason for this is that he loves Melina with all his bloody heart! I had lots of homework to do in the holidays but I didnt do it because Im moving countries in a few hours, from our little village of Bloom Crescent (Lake District, England) all the way to Florida!
'Knock knock knock' banged the door. I ran over opening it expecting a nice cheese pizza awaiting me, instead finding Justin.
"What!" I whispered.
"Can I come in for a while?" he asked. I pulled him in and slammed the door shut.
"What?" I asked.
"I still love you, Poppy and you need to know that I never stopped loving you!" he shouted hugging me after a second I realised that I loved him too do returned the embrace. 'Knock Knock Knock!' the door went again. I opened it and Justin picked up his coat.
"Wait! There's enough for Justin isn't there Aunty Melina!"
"Of course darling, do sit was it Justin?" she asked he nodded and sat with me. 1 MESSAGE! My phone beeped.
I AM IN LOADS IF TROUBLE BUT I DON'T CARE BECAUSE U WILL ALWAYS BE MINE WONT YOU POPPY-PIE! LOTS OF LOVE YOUR FAV BOY MATTHEW XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Way to make me feel bad Matt! I switched of my phone and threw it along the floor. Only for it to hit the way and for the battery to fly out and land on my head making my fall over backwards!
"My phone" I shouted running to my baby. I managed to fix it and sat back down on the plush brown carpet to eat pizza! After an hour we were all ready so hopped into the hire car to get checked in at the airport. I had only been to Florida once and that was last year so quite a while a go really. Time flied at the airport and soon our plane was called. We got on- what would Florida be like?
