You have your hands
outstretched in the dark,
Behind the spark of soulless eyes,
The door
inside your mind,
Died along with the flames in your eyes,
Left carved
into a world of lies,
hollow, screaming inside,
Your lips remain silent,
Violent with a bite,
Criminal in the night,
Kissing in the dark,
Deadly poison
injected into
a haunted heart,
Through
these broke windows,
Breathing slow,
curtains closed,
Lying with you
in a bed of roses,
A ghost in the sheets,
Haunting my dreams,
Stealing
the breath from me,
My phantom
of the unseen,
disappearing
into my memories,
forgetting
what it's like to breathe,
trapped in the dark
of a haunted heart.
