She tore up the pictures, memorising each photo before destroyingl its existence. As if she could erase his memory. She made a pile of happy faces, exotic places, wondering who these people were and what she had ever had in common with them.

She smiled as she grabbed the last photo, it has been taken right at the beginning. The perfect photo, a moment where two strangers had become lovers. Arms entwined, eyes shinning with joy and grins as if nothing could ruin that moment.

She grabbed her lighter and set fire to the photo, watching the smile disappear as the photo crinkled and turned to ash. Dropping it on top of the pile of former memories, she felt herself smile for the first time in a long while.
