I can hear the words your speaking,
Yet they do not come to mind,

I can see the look in your eyes,
Trying to push the past behind,

But is it all that easy,
Is it really what people make it out to be,

Is romance and heartbreak,
That hard to really see,

But yet you try to mend,
What was broken long ago,

And yet you try to convince me,
That you've change a lot and so,

Almost like a repeated knife,

Stabbing about at my heart strings,
Stopping me from living my life,

But yet confusion,
Is all that comes to mind,

Other emotions,
Are set far behind,

Can I really trust you,

Love can be tricky,
Very harsh towards emotions,
