I wonder about life
And where we are from
I gaze at the stars
And the planets beyond
I wonder without good
Would evil exist
Children suffering
On a never ending list
I wonder if carrots
Really help you see in the dark
Spinach makes you strong
And beans make you parp
I wonder if true love
Can be ever be found
Or is the stuff dreams are made of
No ups no downs
I wonder if there is
Life after death
Will my loved ones be waiting
When I draw my last breath
I wonder what
Future generations will think
When they dig in to the past
To find buried trash and a sink
I wonder some days
At the beauty of it all
The power of the oceans
Earths creatures big and small
I wonder what would happen
If the oil ran out
How would we manage?
Chaos throughout?
I wonder what
The future holds
For my growing children
Global warming, under control?
I wonder how
In this day and age
With the resources we have
Cancer can still rage
I wonder at the miracle
Of life that is
Bringing a baby to the world
To cherish and kiss
I wonder how
You put two socks in
And when you empty the load
There's only one therein
I wonder a lot
About general things
But I'm happy with my lot
Because my heart sings
