The fog rolls in and fills his weeping eyes
The love he had has surely died
She was his first, he was putty in her hands
He made her feel special, met all of her demands
He bought her flowers, when he felt he should
He bought her gifts, just because he could
She played him, just like the ones before
She told him she loved him before she walked out that door
'Love' she didn't know the meaning of the word
To her it was always a double edged sword
She wanted her cake and wanted to eat it too
She just didn't want, to eat it with you
She took his heart, and it crumbled in her hands
He was never going to be part of her life long plans
He was just another step in her ladder to success
Just another pawn in her cruel game of chess
While she leaves him broken, she sits at the hotel bar
Before making her move on the next rising star.
