Ticking Time Bomb

Waa waa waa waa
Usually it didn't bother her
But today was different
Today she didn't have an answer

Waa waa waa waa
She felt the darkness closing in
She felt numb
No feeling in her motherly skin

Waaaaaa waaaaa waaaaa
So desperately tired and alone
With so many things to do
No one to help, too proud to telephone

Waaaaaaaa waaaaaa waaaaaa
Getting louder, the baby on the bed
All she wanted to do was sleep
Then she'd feel better in her clouded head

Waaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa
She saw the pillow just lying there
Her eyes desperate
In just a minute she could end this despair

Waaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaa
Then the door opened and the boy standing staring
" mummy why are you crying?"
She looked, forgetting, remembering,caring

Wa wa wa
He smiled at his sister and cuddled on the bed
The darkness lifted if only for a moment
The pillow now resting her sleeping head.

My friend had PND and talking with her inspired this. It's a dark place where no mother wants to be.
