"I'll like a piece of cheese pizza with a medium sized coke, and maybe some fries on the side."
"That will be $7.50," the cashier tells me.
I dig inside my purse and pull out a ten dollar bill.
"Here ya go," I say as I hand the money to her.
"Your order will be ready shortly."
She puts the money in the cash register and hands me change. I toss it inside my purse.
"Let's sit," Ashley says.
"Kay."
We sit down at a nearby table.
"So, are you going to break up with Connor?"
"I don't know."
"But you don't like him."
"I know."
"Then break up with him!"
"I don't want to because I'm scared to."
"Your scared?"
"Yeah he's like the most popular guy in the school. He would start rumors about me."
"Well, I can't say I don't disagree with you, but just remember if you hate him that much, than you would take that risk."
I close my eyes and think about what she just said.
I sigh. She has a good point. While I'm thinking about it, someone comes up and shakes me.
I turn around and it's Ryan.
"Your turn to bowl is up next."
I get up and turn towards Ashely.
"Wait here. I'll be back and if they call my order, get it for me."
I turn away then walk down to section four. Cassie is just finishing up. She has four pins down an she rolls her last ball down. It knocks down five pins.
She squeals.
Ow. That really hurt my ears.
"I got nine pins down!"
They all clap. She walks up towards me and whispers,"I'd like to see you beat that."
She turns around and walks over to her seat.
"What'd you say to Emma?" Josh asks suspiciously.
"Oh, I was just telling her good luck."
I roll my eyes and grab a bowling ball. I bring my arm back. Okay Emma, you can do this. Just try. I roll move my arm up and then let go of the ball. It goes rolling straight, but then it curves and doesn't hit any pins.
I can hear Cassie laugh.
Screw this. I grab a ball and just roll it down without a care in the world. I turn around to leave, but then the people start to clap.
It actually hit all the pins down!
"Yay! I got a *stroke!"
I look over at Cassie and her jaw is dropped. I smirk at her.
Beat dat sucka! I walk back down to the food place and sit next to both Ashley and Ryan.
"Ashley, your up," I tell her.
"Wish me luck."
"Haha. Good luck!"
She walks over to isle number four.
"You should really break up with Connor," Ryan tells me.
I slap my hand to my face. Good grief.
*a stroke is when you hit all the pins down on your second try.
