When we go inside, everyone says hi to Josh. I guess he's popular. A few girls even give him there number.
The school is pretty crowded considering this is like the only high school in this town. We walk to the way end of the hallway and then stop in front of a big glass room. It
must be the office. When we get inside, we go over to the front desk. A women that is about forty comes over to us. She has blond hair and wears way to much makeup.
"How can I help you?"
"Um, I'm a new student. My name is Emma Carington."
"Okay. Hold on one second."
She goes over to a file cabinet and digs through it. She pulls out a file that has my name on it.
"Here you go. Give the blue slip in it to your homeroom teacher."
She passes the file over to me. I open it up and pull out my classroom sheet.
"I have Mr. Taton for homeroom," I tell Josh.
"Good! Me too. I'll walk you down."
We leave the office and walk to Mr. Taton's. Josh tells me which place is which as we walk down the hallway.
"Okay. Here we are."
He goes to his locker and I go inside. I walk to the front of the classroom and give him my slip.
"Welcome Emma. Your locker number is 234 and your combination is in your file."
"Okay."
I leave the classroom and go over to my locker. I open up the file and read my combination.
21-35-17
I put that into my locker. I open it up and unpack everything. Once I'm done I shut my locker. I go into the classroom and Mr. Taton points to a spot in the back of the classroom. I put my books on the desk and take a seat. Josh turns around and waves. I wave back. He's two rows away. Once everyone is here, class starts. We learn about the Skelton. I'm not much of a science or health fan. I'm gonna hate this class.
Once class is over, I go outside the classroom and wait for Josh. After a few minutes he walks out.
"So, who do you have next?" he asks.
"Let me check."
I open up my file.
"Mrs. Quinn room 203."
"Ohhhh," he says disappointed,"Good luck. It's down the hall to your left."
I walk down the hall and look to the left. I gulp. Gym. This is going to be a long day.
