Mr. Parkins didn't directly say anything but he just gave me a look....
I guess he was curious as to why I was so dreamy....
I just sighed pleasantly and by that time
I was at the back of the line as I headed for history, 50 minutes till lunch time... I couldn't wait to talk to Rosie again, especially how mr.parkins looked at me funny. I laughed to myself.
But what I really wanted to know was, why was Miss Gígí talking to rose?
Mr.parkins was also our year level coordinator, which was cool because he was pretty nice-even if he was an 'older' teacher.
Sudden I saw Miss Gígí run into the room I just left. "Hmnn.. Why would she talk to Mr.parkins? I wonder if this had got anything to do with her talking to Rose? I hope she aint in trouble.." I thought.
I looked at my watch.. The teacher was ten minutes late.My class was the last one in the hall.. We had quietened down talking between ourselves, well except for me... No one had talked to me much.. I guess they were worried or wanted to be nice and leave me alone. Which they did a great job of..
I was kind of lonely.
But not when I thought about him...
I tapped my foot impatiently, "Where is she?!" I thought angrily.
I tried to calm myself down. But then I started to worry, "Who was I to get angry? She could be hurt! Ohmygosh I hope she's alright!" I started panicking frantically turning my head both ways and scanning each end of the corridor.
Other class members got my drift.
I heard a few "Yeah. Where is she? She's never this late!" and "Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!" one of those remarks was made by Layla, one of the really sweet girls in our class.
A teacher we had never seen before started to approach us.We exchanged glances raising our eyebrows at each other. Our substitute was Cantonese, she had recently moved and had previous training as a teacher-but she had very broken English so some of us found it hard to understand her, some students were able to cl verse with her and sort of translate for us. It was so helpful of them. But by the time everyone had settled in their seats we only had 15 minutes left, so we just played games until the end of the session .
ding ding
"WOO HOO! It's lunch time!" I yelled happily.
